1. What Data We Collect via Facebook / Meta
When you connect your Meta (Facebook or Instagram) account to ExecCortex, we access and store the following data via the Meta Graph API and Marketing API, using permissions you explicitly grant during the OAuth flow:
- Your Facebook Page name, page ID, follower count, and engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach, impressions)
- Your Instagram Business account username, follower count, media posts, story metrics, and audience demographics
- Your Meta Ads account ID, campaign names, ad set names, ad creatives, spend, impressions, clicks, and conversion data
- Your Meta Pixel ID and aggregated conversion events (page views, purchases, add-to-cart — no individual user PII from Pixel events)
- Your OAuth access token (stored encrypted) used to continuously sync the above data
We do not store individual Facebook or Instagram user profiles, personal messages, private contact lists, or any data from your personal Facebook account beyond what is needed to authenticate the business account you select.
All data collected is analytics and performance data tied to your business accounts — not personal data of your customers or followers.
2. How to Delete Your Data
You can delete all data ExecCortex has collected via your Meta / Facebook connection using any of the following methods:
Method 1 — From within ExecCortex (fastest):
- Log in to your ExecCortex account at app.execcortex.com
- Go to Connectors in the left sidebar
- Find the Meta Ads, Instagram, or Facebook Pages connector
- Click Disconnect → Clear All Data
- This immediately revokes our OAuth token and permanently deletes all synchronized data for that connector
Method 2 — Via email request:
- Email privacy@execcortex.com with the subject: 'Data Deletion Request — Meta'
- Include the email address associated with your ExecCortex account
- We will confirm deletion within 5 business days and provide a confirmation reference number
Method 3 — From Facebook Settings (removes our app access):
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find ExecCortex in your connected apps list
- Click Remove → confirm removal
- This revokes our API access. We will detect the revocation within 24 hours and automatically delete all synchronized Meta data from our systems
3. What Happens After Deletion
After a deletion request is processed:
- All synchronized Meta / Facebook / Instagram data is permanently deleted from our primary databases within 24 hours
- Encrypted backups containing your data are purged within 30 days (our backup retention window)
- Our OAuth access token for your account is immediately invalidated — we cannot pull any new data
- Aggregated, anonymized platform telemetry (not traceable to your account) may be retained for product improvement
- Billing records required by financial law are retained for 7 years but contain no Meta data
You will receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete. If you reconnect Meta in the future, we start a fresh data sync with no historical data carried over.
4. Confirmation and Verification
After we process a deletion request, we will send a confirmation email to the address on your ExecCortex account containing:
- A unique confirmation reference number
- The date and time deletion was completed
- A list of data categories that were deleted
If you submitted the request via email, you may reply to that confirmation email if you have any concerns about incomplete deletion.
